How does Automated Traffic Hurt Your Site?

It was my way of getting traffic before when I first started my site AloofKid.com, I’m averaging 600-800 unique visitors per day because of these Automated Traffic sites that gets traffic in your blog and increase your traffic rate.

Today I was checking my old emails and saw an email from a bunch of emails from these Automated Traffic Sites, so I tried it again just for the sake of SiteMeter’s statistics so people will see I have lots of visitors coming to my site.

Though I notice that every visitor only visits your site for 30 seconds or less which means analytics will see this as a bounce visitor and will increase your bounce rate.

What is a Bounce rate?

It’s a statistics when a person visits your site without visiting any other pages in your blog or site. Though there are no specific standards how much time by which a visitor must leave your site in order to count this as a bounce rate.

Is there any other way that a visitor will count as Bounce?

Yes there are 5 other ways that will consider your visitor as bounce, according to Wikipedia they can be considered as bounce rate when people

Click a link to the other page of your blog
Close an open window or tab of your blog
Type a new URL in your site
Clicking the “Back” button to exit your site
Session Timeout

So how will this affect your site?

If you have high bounce rate web analytics or should I say the web analytics see this that many people leaves your site and it will indicates that you’re site entrance page are not relevant to your visitors. In return it will hurt your site’s Search Engine Ranking Page rankings.

So you might be asking in what way it will hurt your SERP, first Google always reward blogs that has a quality content, with this if a visitor finds your content interesting and stayed in your blog and read other pages it means Google will see this as a good site, in reward they will give you a high ranking in SERP. On the flip side if search engines see you have high bounce rate the will give you a low rankings in SERP because they don’t want to give people a content which is irrelevant to what they are searching for.

So if you use this Automated Traffic to your site, it will surely increase your traffic but in return you will get high back rates.

“Ok! Ok! Now I know why should I not use these automated traffic sites but I’ve been doing this for several months Obed! How can I decrease the results? Please help me please!!!”

Hold your horses! I’m going to teach you how!

First you need to remove your site to these automated traffic sites. This is the best way to reduce your bounce rate, if you still continue to increase your traffic using this site it’s up to you but for me it’s better to have traffic from search engines themselves.
Make your blog user friendly. Who wants to read a blog who is over populated? Always check if your blog has a good color scheme, your fonts are readable and lastly doesn’t have too many ads.
Write Quality and Relevant content. If you blog has quality article chances are people will visit your site again, or at least they will look for another good content in your site which technically will decrease your bounce rate.
Inter-link articles in your blog. I found this the best way to at least promote another article in your blog. Another thing is putting a “Related Artilce/Post” at the end of your post.

So probably asking me how you can check your bounce rate?

There is no immediate result for you to check your bounce rate not unless you have a Google Analytics script in your blog/site then you can log-in in your Google Analytics account and check your bounce rate. If you still don’t have one, go register at Google Analytics and just follow the steps on how to integrate Google Analytics to your site. This might take you 24-48 hours in order to get your first result.

What is the acceptable bounce rate?

Well it depends on every site, if you have let’s say… a coupon site, it’s OK to have 40%-60% bounce rate, but if you have a blog like this one where you post article and stuff this is not good for you. I have .07% bounce rate yesterday and after doing this Automated Site Traffic it gave me 1.02% bounce rate. Though it doesn’t hurt my site that much, now you know why you should stay away from this Automated Traffic site because it will surely hurt your site.

Blogging Espionage Review

I bought Rob Banwell’s latest e-Book, “Blogging Espionage” to test what he says “The New System” that will surely earn me $1000 within a week after implementing the system.

The e-Book teaches a new approach, if you think that you’ll be implementing it in your existing blog well, you’re wrong. What the book teaches you to do is start a new blog by buying an aged domain. For sure it will drive-in existing traffic in your site as you develop an aged domain that has traffic in it, that saves you less time getting traffic in your site and indexing your blog to the search engines.

The problem that I see in this strategy is buying an aged domain specially the ones that has a page rank of 4 and above and at the same time has existing traffic is not cheap. As one of many people who buy and sell domains, these domains will cost you approximately around $100 to $500 for just the domain itself.

Sure you will be able to get back what you’ve invest for this aged domain after a few weeks if the system works for you, but what if the people who bought this book are the ones who want to start blogging and don’t want to spend that much? For some people $20 is a huge money specially like me who live in a developing country.

On the other hand, after reading the book for sure you will earn money if implemented right and if you really dedicated to work on it. Another thing that I notice is that the “$1000 in one week” might not be 100% accurate, well, because the earnings will be dependent on a third party sites.

Yes you can earn few dollars if you put Google ads or inline text ads link Kontera or Infolinks, but to get the $1,000 you need to get some time to really earn the said amount, 1 week might be a short time especially if you’re not familiar with those third party sites.

Though he gives you a guaranteed $100 if you didn’t earn $1000 in the span of one week, what will be your chance of losing right? So if you are interested in buying this e-Book and you think you can get $1,000 then go ahead buy the e-Book. If not you can get what you’ve paid for + $100 if the system will not earn you $1,000.

Though I don’t recommend this product because you will instantly earn $1000 in the span of one week, this system will surely work if and only IF you really follow the said steps diligently. I recommend this product to the people who are willing to work on it, and spend some cash to buy an aged domain. Though to be honest, for a new comers to this kind of system it will take you a month or two to get the $1,000 mark, still it’s an earning that you would not like to miss.

The new ImObed.com

It was June of 2009 when I first pushed the publish button in this blog and since then I have no clue what will be this blog for, so I called it, ImObed.com “Bloging about anything, anything, anything!” That was before, I tried to earn few money in this blog but to my surprise, a year has passed but this blog haven’t earn anything just to keep itself paying for its hosting service.

Eager to learn why I am not earning, not even a few cents per day, I ask myself, “What’s wrong with my blog?” I started doing it this time, the right way. I created a new blog that concentrate in one topic “Watch movie online” After few months, I’ve earn few dollars that help me sustain that site and this site’s hosting fee, few months later I receive an email that they want to buy my site for a good amount of money.

To make the long story short, I sold that site and able to buy myself my own hosting company Xinob.com to cover all my blog’s hosting service and to help me earn more money in my Website Designing company AloofKid.com.

I’ve now learn how to make money online. This time I don’t want just to hide it and be selfish, I am willing to share this knowledge I’ve learned and share it with you. If you’re one of the bloggers that are not earning at least $100 a month, don’t be sad, you’re not alone.

I came from that situation too and now let’s help each other hand in hand to make money online.

Basic Way Boost Your Sponsored Tweets Opps

A lot of people joined Sponsored Tweets but many are still haven’t receive any offers for them to tweet a sponsor, the question now is, even if you have more than 50K of twitter followers or less than 1k how can you boost your Sponsored Tweets Income?

I sign in to Sponsored Tweets last week, and with that span of days I got 6 complete opps and 2 pending and 2 open.

So follow my tips and sure you will receive a reasonable opps for you to earn money in twitter!

1. Lower Your Rates

Even if Sponsored Tweets calculate your tweet price on how many followers you have or what they call CPMF, you should lower your rates. As an example, my suggested price when I sign up was $1.00 with only 1,000+ followers. If you were the advertiser, will you pay $1 for an ads that only 1,000 will see it? Of course not. So I lower it by 10%, from 1.00 my tweet price is $0.10 I know it’s crazy for that cheap price, well your are still stablishing your foundation, so you should lower it eventually as your twitter account has a solid followers increase it by another $0.20 and see if you still have receive some opps, if not then put back the $0.10

2. Be A Keywords Wise

Put the right bait in the right river, don’t just put a random keywords that got your interest, put the keywords that you think there’s a lot of advertisers! For example, you are blogging about technology, don’t just put gadgets, laptops or computer as your keywords. Be creative, put affiliates or marketing, think out side the box!

3. Don’t Be A Twitter Whore

A lot of twitter users always follow back, no matter who they are. In my experience, when I was just starting out own blog, I follow random people hoping that they will follow me back. For some it’s a good strategy to promote there products or what we call it, Lazy Marketers. As you see, advertisers don’t want to spend their money to people that has no impact or viewers. Yes you got 50K followers and you are following 60k people, so what will your impression will be? “Ah he got this followers because he always follow back in return. We’re just wasting our money here… NEXT!” Do you get what my point?

4. Be An Influence

Getting followers is easy but getting a genuine followers is priceless. Advertisers target the people who got influence, if you got influence you have the right to make your price high, but if you are one of the Whores just lower your tweet price please? It’s for your own good. You will not receive opps if you can’t be an influence to your followers.

5. Treat Your Opps As Your Own

One of the things why you still have a pending opps it because your tweets is not catchy. For example, I receive an opps from BAM – Country Music they’re advertising for VIP accounts, Music and NASCAR racing. So I study their product and made my own ads for them. Check what I put:
