Who is Obed?

It was in early 2008 when Obed Cutaran was busy playing his favourite online game Ran Online at his favourite tambayan LC Computer Cafe. While in AFK mode he went to YouTube.com and there’s this video that instantly caught his eyes. It is a video of a top rated Sunday night shows, “Mel and Joey“.

The story was about two people who earns their living by “Blogging“. At that very moment, he got interested about this “Blogging” it was the very first well not really first, but it was the time he first found out that people can earn money from blogging.

Obed was also a forum moderator at e-Games back then, so he thought it would be a good marketing strategy if he uses his position to promote his blog and gain visitors to his first ever blog. His first blog was a site that gives free contest and games that he personally spends by giving free game credits and in-game item.

With just a span of 2 weeks, he averages 250 visitors per day that also help him earn him $1 a day. As time goes by, Obed got bored playing the game and left Ran Online, the forums as well as his first blog site for good.

Fast forward to the year 2009 when he was looking for Palm Pre news when he saw  YugaTech. It was that time when the blogger inside him woke up after several months. Clueless to which topic he will blog, he then chose technology and gadget as his topic at WordPress.

He chose AloofKid as his blog name as it is the exact meaning of his personality. He stayed in WordPress for 3 months blogging about tech and gadget news, but due to WordPress limitations he did not earn from that site, not a single cent.

It was March of 2009 when he first experienced to have his own domain AloofKid.com. He blog consistently about technology, this time there’s no luck in Aloofkid for him. June of 2009 Obed started ImObed.com as his personal blog, he blogged about his everyday living and some interesting stuff. Still there’s no luck for him in ImObed.com.

Curious why he is not earning in blogging, he reassess everything and bought different eBooks that teaches about blogging. After spending a month of buying, reading and learning. He then spent a week writing his plans for his new blog, this time he is more challenged and determined to earn money and to do it right.

He bought a new domain and set up a “Free to Watch Movie Online” site. Applying everything he learn and following his plans for that blog, Obed instantly earn his first pay check amounting to $50 after 3 months of blogging.

It was on March of 2010 when he received an offer from a disclosed person who wanted to buy his movie site for a decent amount of money. He accepted the offer since he doesn’t have enough time to update the blog regularly. He used the money to start a hosting company so he can integrate it with his website designing business.

Just recently, Obed redesign Aloofkid.com and use it as his website designing portfolio, Xinob.com on the other hand is his hosting company site and now he redesigned ImObed.com so he can share his knowledge on how he earns money online.

Obed made up his mind to blog primarily on how to make money online. Though ImObed.com is STILL a personal blog of Obed, he still would be posting something about his life.

ImObed.com also tackles on how to build a better blog as Obed firmly believe, that it is the blogs characteristics that will make the blog succeed.

On the other hand, Obed also gives his opinion to thousands of Money Making Systems that is being sold every day. He buys this system and studies it for a span of time and gives it a review. He then tells if it is worth the money or it’s just another scam e-book that will give you worthless information.

Obed always believe that in blogging, it is not all about money, it’s about how the people trust and respect you. Though you cannot please all people, but it is better that you’re giving honest information to the people that will really help them to earn money than get something out of the people and ruin your reputation.
